The Algoma District has one of the highest concentrations of Black Bears in Ontario. We bait well in advance of the hunt to ensure a high success rate. When the successful hunter is done processing his or her bear, we have freezers to store the meat until the trip home. To ensure a healthy population of Black Bears, only a limited number of hunters are taken each week.
We require a $300.00 deposit to hold reservations. Hunters must supply proof of previous hunting experience in the form of an old license, to be issued an Ontario license. Hunters will pay all Canadian customs fees for importing firearms and exporting game. License is not included in above rate. Deposits are not refundable on cancellations made less than 90 days in advance. Hunter Orange is required for all hunters.
